Theme: Climate change

SYKE’s researchers and experts contribute to new ideas on how to mitigate climate change and how to adapt to it. The objective is to reduce the dependency on fossil carbon, ensure sustainable use of natural resources and achieve flexible adaptation to climate change.

SYKE’s strength lies in dealing with climate change as part of a wider set of societal challenges. These include global availability of natural resources, loss of biological diversity, and unsustainable consumption and production.

We carry out research and studies, provide expert advice and participate in development projects. We deliver comparative and critical assessments and evaluations of policy alternatives to those who are responsible for drafting and implementing policies, and to a wider public debate.

I SYKE about 30 researchers and experts work in different units with topics related to climate change. We participate in several national and international research projects and we disseminate actively climate information.
