Research Vessel Aranda

Aranda is a modern, ice-reinforced research vessel. She was planned and built for Baltic Sea research, but in principle, she is able to operate in all seas. It is the first research vessel which is owned by the Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE).

Due to a refit, r/v Aranda is out of service, in dock between end of July 2017 to end of February 2018. During this time Aranda’s cruises are undertaken by a replacement vessel.
