Algal bloom monitoring July 7, 2016: High amounts of cyanobacteria mixed in the water column in the northern Baltic proper

In lakes, observations of cyanobacterial blooms have decreased from last week due to rainy and windy weather. In the northern Baltic proper, there are a lot of cyanobacteria mixed into the water, and surface blooms have also started to occur. Only a couple of cyanobacterial observations have been reported from the coastal areas.
