Algal bloom monitoring August 20, 2015: Intensive cyanobacteria blooms in the sea areas, amount of cyanobacteria increased also in the lakes

Intensive blooms of cyanobacteria have been observed in the Finnish southwestern sea areas, in the Gulf of Finland and in coastal areas of southern and southwestern Finland. In lakes the occurrence of cyanobacteria has increased further and is higher than the long-term average for the time period.  More in Finnish
