There is a need for sharing of current developments, practices, and approaches across the Nordics regarding monitoring of reuse and waste prevention. This must be seen in connection with the EU and the overarching ‘circular agenda’.

Background

The Nordic Council of Minister’s working group on Circular Economy (NCE) is in collaboration with Deloitte conducting a series of webinars on Digital circularity transition in the waste sector this fall. The NCE aims to facilitate Nordic cooperation – in which there are similar assumptions about waste management, and create an avenue for where knowledge and ideas can be shared and new tools and techniques can be developed. NCE finished a project in spring 2022 on digital monitoring of reuse and prevention of waste (Measuring waste prevention and reuse: digital opportunities (norden.org)) and among other things wants to use the webinar series to build on these results and to spread knowledge.
