Present role

I work as a researcher and expert in Freshwater Centre. I’m working in research and development projects related to the management and restoration of freshwater systems. In addition, I work as an expert in the implementation of the EU Water Framework Directive. My research focuses especially on the use of decision support systems in the River Basin Management (RBM) process.

Background

I am a physical geographer and currently working on my PhD on Operations Research. My research is related to cost-effectiveness and benefit analyses of the RBM, and on the usability of different sorts of models and tools in RBM process. In addition, I have participated in a number of multicriteria decision anaylsis (MCDA) and economic valuation studies providing e.g. GIS analysis.
