Controls of supporting ecosystem services through the load of terminal electron acceptors (TEA-SERVICES)

The objective of the project is to show that the status of the ecosystem is not reliant only on nutrient loading but also on Terminal Electron Acceptor (TEA) flux and that through the control of the TEAs it is possible to control supporting and regulating ecosystem services. The impacts of the TEA fluxes on supporting ecosystem services and biodiversity will be assessed based on the literature survey and documented case studies. A seminar on biogeochemical cycles of TEAs and nutrients and ecosystem services will arranged in the end of 2013.
