Ministry of the Environment, Finnish Environment Institute and the Housing Finance and Development Centre of Finland inform
The telephone numbers of the environmental administration will change on 29-30 October 2013, as part of the state administration’s shared Hansel framework agreement. Elisa has been chosen as the new provider of telephone services for the Ministry of the Environment, the Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE) and the Housing Finance and Development Centre of Finland (ARA). The aim of this change is to provide more efficient telecommunications solutions and cost savings across the entire state administration.
The service numbers of the organizations of the environmental administration and the personal numbers of employees will change to 0295 numbers. Calls between 029 numbers are free of charge across the entire state administration. Calls to 0295 numbers by citizens are also affordable, as they are only subject to a local network charge, mobile phone charge or SMS charge, in accordance with the caller’s operator agreement. The new employee numbers can receive SMS messages and the numbers can be dialled from abroad with the country code +358.
The old mobile phone numbers of the organizations will continue to function, but calls from the environmental administration will always show as 0295 numbers to receivers.
The new employee mobile phone numbers will come into effect on 29 October. The telephone numbers of the organizations’ telephone exchanges will change on 30 October 2013.
New telephone exchange numbers from 30 October 2013 onwards are:
