Introduction

My expertise, background and interests focus on soil ecotoxicology, the study of the effects of environmental contaminants on soil organisms. Currently, my work relates to microplastics, chemicals in plastics and plant protection products (PPP) and their impacts in soil. Prior to the Finnish Environment Institute, I have worked as a Postdoc researcher at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam, as environmental inspector in the regional environmental administration, as a consultant in risk assessment of contaminated sites and as a PhD student in the University of Helsinki. Diverse experience from different duties helps me to see environmental challenges from different perspectives.
