Background
I have worked in the Finnish Environment Institute since 2004. I first held a joint research professorship between Syke and the University of Oulu in the field of aquatic ecology. At that time, I also coordinated the development of the ecological classification of Finnish inland waters. In 2009, I moved to Jyväskylä to develop the ecotoxicology laboratory and related research activities. In 2023 I started as a Leading research scientist in Nature solutions unit in Helsinki. Since June 2023 I have been working as a Research development manager.
