Background

I have worked as an economist in several research projects at Finnish Environment Institute (Syke) since the spring 2015. During this period, I have also served as a part-time project researcher and teacher in Oulu Business School (University of Oulu).

I have focused on developing and using environmentally extended economic models. Topics of my analysis cover e.g. circular economy, food system, textile system, and waste management. I’m also familiar with e.g. household consumption and its environmental impacts, employment impacts of low carbon transition, methods of GHG emissions accounting, and material flow accounting. I consider myself a social scientist interested in societal topics, environmental questions and history. Considering economics, my interests lie within the fields of environmental economics, ecological economics, economy-wide modelling, and system of national accounts.
