Profile

I have worked with principles and practises of sustainable water use and governance for over ten years in Finland and internationally, collaborating with research institutes, governments, private sector and NGOs alike. As a Leading Researcher at the Finnish Environment Institute I am responsible for leading and conducting research and development work on water governance, water stewardship and water diplomacy.

I am currently coordinating Horizon Europe funded project Governance innovations for a transition to sustainable and equitable water use in Europe GOVAQUA and act as a senior expert in the Water Cooperation and Peace - Finnish Water Way project focusing on developing Finlan's water diplomacy activities.
