The objective of SEDOS is to develop, implement and validate snow cover/extent product and the prototype system for their production covering Europe, as a preparative actin for the future EUMETSAT METimage onboard Metop-SG. The products will be at this stage based on Sentinel-3 SLSTR and are validated against in-situ Snow Depth observation following the validation protocol adapted by ESA SnowPEx project. A one year time-series of the products is provided and validated.
