Duties
Work related to automated and autonomous marine measurements:
- Maintenance and development within research projects
- Programming measurement systems and integrating devices to them
- Field and laboratory work
- Data processing, project reporting and other scientific work
- Communication with national and international partners
Background
I have a MSc in hydrosphere geophysics (2018). During my studies I spent several months in Svalbard as an exchange student and a field course teacher. I wrote my Master's thesis at Finnish Meteorological Institute, where I worked with autonomous marine measurement robots and their data processing. I've also worked as a field assistant at the University of Stockholm, and my last position as at the Unversity of Helsinki, where I worked as a research technician at Tvärminne Zoological Station.
