Objective
The objective of the project is to manage and maintain the PLC database, and to collect, compile and analyze the data in order to estimate the land based pollution load to the Baltic Sea.
The PLC project tries to quantify the loads of nutrients and heavy metals from different sources and moreover to evaluate the changes in loads between the years and the impact of different waterborne load sources.
Project is continuous through a series of a three year renewable contracts with HELCOM.
