Project Description
The project supported the Ministry's project preparation and supervision in the implementation of the cooperation programme with the Vodokanal of St. Petersburg, the Nordic Initiative programme and other water sector projects a.o. in the Karelian Republic.
The objective of the Ministry's supervision is to verify that the cooperation projects are implemented effectively and efficiently fulfilling the financing decisions, relevant legislation and the Ministry's administrative guidelines of cooperation.
Services provided by SYKE
- Overall project coordination
- Support in preparation and supervision of projects to be carried out with e.g. Vodokanal of St. Petersburg, municipal water utilities in the Leningrad Region, water utilities of Sortavala and Petrozavodsk. The project covers also possible other water sector projects or initiatives in the North-West Russia
Similar services were provided under the contract "Expert services for the neighbouring area co-operation of the Ministry of the Environment" for the years 2008-2010.
