The French, German and British Embassies, SYKE and the Strategic Research Council are arranging a seminar:

After Paris: burden-sharing and the role of forestry in climate change mitigation

The seminar in Helsinki is part of the worldwide Climate Diplomacy Week from 12th to 18th September 2016. The topic of burden-sharing in the EU after the Paris agreement and the role of forests in mitigating climate change will be key issues for further climate negotiations.

Minister of Agriculture and the Environment, Kimmo Tiilikainen, will open the seminar. Experts from Finland, France, Germany and the United Kingdom will offer their perspectives, followed by a panel discussion.
