Current tasks

My current tasks include working as a project coordinator, a researcher and a scientific expert in marine research.

Background

I have a master’s degree in fisheries science (1988) and a PhD also in fisheries science (1999) from the University of Helsinki. During my career I have worked in fishery research, for regional environmental and fisheries authorities, in the university, and in marine and freshwater research.

  • SHEBA : Sustainable shipping and environment of the Baltic Sea region (EU-BONUS 2015-2019)
  • Development of Archipelago Sea nutrient load model assembly and its implementation to coastal Gulf of Finland and Bothnian Sea (Ministry of Environment 2017-2018)
  • COCOA : Nutrient cocktail in coastal zones of the Baltic Sea – improving nderstanding of the transformation and retention of nutrients and organic matter in the coastal zone (EU-BONUS, 2014-2017)
