The key objective of the programme is to identify new solutions to the challenges currently faced by society and the economy. It focuses on sustainable and regenerative economic systems, which are capable of at least maintaining or, preferably, improving the state of the environment (as well as economic profitability and social well-being).

Central elements of the research programme will include practical case studies and innovative start-ups. The programme’s researchers will be in active and close dialogue and collaboration with various stakeholders, such as companies, the public sector and consumers. In this, the aim is to identify positive approaches and new models for various economic systems, which might also enhance Finland’s competitiveness in global markets.
