Work as a researcher at the Finnish Environment Institute
Support the sustainability transformation with diverse research!
At the Finnish Environment Institute, we conduct interdisciplinary, international and networked research. The research aims to support societal decision-making and provide solutions to national and global challenges.
Most researchers work in Syke's solution units. These five units study nature, climate, sea and fresh water, circular economy and society. These are supported by cross-cutting units at Syke, which study, from a social science perspective, information policy and the fair implementation of the sustainability transition. In addition, Digital services study, among other things, machine learning, modelling and monitoring programs.
We offer our employees access to advanced research infrastructure and opportunities for training and development in addition to their work. We encourage our researchers to be active in inter-organisational and international networks.
