National Emissions Database CO2data

The National Emissions Database provides impartial information on the climate impacts of construction products, processes, and systems used in Finland. Managed by the Finnish Environment Institute (Syke), the service is free and open to everyone.

CO2data supports the assessment of life-cycle climate impacts

The databases compile average data and background studies on the most common and typical products. They also include information on waste amounts and the share of recycled materials. Databases can be integrated into emission calculation tools.

The CO2data service consists of two databases: the Emissions database for building construction and the Emissions database for infrastructure construction. Both services are available in English.

The Emissions database for building construction supports emission calculations aligned with the assessment method for the carbon footprint of buildings developed by the Ministry of the Environment.

The Emissions database for infrastructure construction provides the necessary data for emission calculations based on the low-carbon infrastructure assessment method published by the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency.
