National Emissions Database CO2data
CO2data supports the assessment of life-cycle climate impacts
The emissions database for building construction supports emissions calculations in accordance with the Ministry of the Environment’s assessment method for low-carbon construction. The emissions database for infrastructure construction, in turn, provides the data needed for emissions calculations in accordance with the low-carbon infrastructure construction assessment method published by the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency.
The databases contain average data for the most common and typical products, as well as background studies. They also include information on product waste and the share of recycled materials. The databases can be integrated into emissions calculation tools.
The CO2data service consists of two databases: the Emissions database for building construction and the Emissions database for infrastructure construction. Both services are available in English. The Emissions database for building construction supports emission calculations aligned with the assessment method for the carbon footprint of buildings developed by the Ministry of the Environment. The Emissions database for infrastructure construction provides the necessary data for emission calculations based on the low-carbon infrastructure assessment method published by the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency.
The databases contain average data for the most common and typical products, as well as background studies. They also include information on product waste and the share of recycled materials. The databases can be integrated into emissions calculation tools.
Database development and updates
The CO2data service is continuously developed and updated based on user needs. You can subscribe to receive information about updates via email. You can explore the change history in the service.
Database integration
The contents of the databases are freely available for use as a machine-readable and continuously updated file in JSON format. Below is the file description and a permanent link to the machine-readable file.
