Research and expertise

I am a researcher specialized in biodiversity modeling and geographic information system (GIS) applications at the Finnish Environment Institute. I have modelled species distributions and determined environmental and climate related factors that affects the species and entire communities. 

I am specialized in spatial multi-criteria decision analysis, with a particular focus on topics related to the site selection for wind and solar energy installations. I have conducted studies of nature impacts of solar power plants and currently creating new data for biodiversity assessments for entire Finland.
