I work as a senior research scientist at the Finnish Environment Institute (Syke) and lead the Use of Natural Resources group. I have worked as an economist in various research projects at the Finnish Environment Institute since spring 2015. Alongside my work, I am preparing a doctoral dissertation in economics on the modeling of the circular economy at the Oulu Business School, University of Oulu.
My work focuses on the development and use of environmentally extended economic models and the environmental accounts linked to them. I consider myself broadly a social scientist and actively follow politics, environmental questions, and history. In economics, my interest has primarily been in environmental economics and ecological economics, macroeconomic modeling, and system of national accounts.
