Research and expertise

I am a researcher and expert in the politics of sustainability transitions. I am particularly interested in promoting overall sustainability at various levels of decision-making and across different policy sectors, as well as in integrating these. My research topics include e.g. energy, mobility, housing, and natural resource management.

I serve as the programme director of the Just Energy research program, funded by the Strategic Research Council of Finland. The program studies and advances the fairness of the energy transition from the perspectives of technological solutions, decision-making, and citizen participation.
