Research and expertise
I am a marine biologist and ecotoxicologist. My research focuses on how hazardous substances, climate change, and other environmental stressors affect organism health, population adaptability, and ecosystem functioning, particularly in the Baltic Sea. My special expertise lies in biochemical and molecular methods used to investigate organismal stress responses and adaptation mechanisms. My work supports the monitoring of the Baltic Sea’s environmental status, risk assessment, and the conservation of marine biodiversity.
