Key Responsibilities 

  • Responsible leader at Syke and co-PI of the project as well as interaction lead in the Strategic Research Council-funded RELIEF project. The RELIEF project studies the resilience of the legal system in sustainability transition.
  • Researcher in the Strategic Research Council-funded 2035Legitimacy project. The 2035Legitimacy project focuses on the legitimacy and acceptability of climate policy, as well as the fairness of selected actions and their impacts.
  • Representative of Syke in the Expert Group on Black Carbon and Methane (EGBCM) under the Arctic Council.
  • Professor of Environmental Law (50%), University of Eastern Finland, Law School, Center for Climate Change, Energy & Environmental Law (CCEEL). Main responsibilities at the University of Eastern Finland: vice head of UEF Law School, responsible of research; director of the Doctoral Education in the field of Law; vice head of the sustainability law research group, vice head of the university's strategic research community Sustainable Resource Society (RESOURCE), dissertation supervision, teaching environmental law and research on environmental, climate and sustainability law.
