The Finnish Environment Institute (Syke) participates in the Copernicus Land Monitoring Service National Collaboration Programme (CLMS NCP), coordinated by the European Environment Agency (EEA). The programme aims to promote the use of Copernicus land monitoring, land cover and environmental datasets in Finland and to support their application in policy-making, planning, and research.

Objectives

The CLMS NCP programme aims to increase the uptake and use of Copernicus Land Monitoring Service datasets and services in Finland. It strengthens collaboration between Copernicus Services and national stakeholders, raises awareness of available products and services, and supports capacity building, knowledge exchange, and European cooperation. The programme also seeks to identify user needs and facilitate the effective use of CLMS data to support evidence-based decision-making and sustainable land management.
