Effect of flooding on release of carbon, metals and phosphorus in agricultural soils treated with soil conditioners
- Duration: 2025 - 2027
- Status: Ongoing
- Budget: 120 000€
The Government Programme states that nutrient retention in agricultural soil will be improved by diversifying the use of soil amendments. At the same time, climate change is predicted to increase winter floods, which pose a risk, as we do not know how different substances affect the soil’s binding mechanisms under exceptional conditions. The SOILWRAPS project produces information on how various soil amendments influence the behavior of carbon, metals, and phosphorus when the soil is submerged under water.
