Current task

I'm working as a coordinator at SYKEs Marine Research Centre producing diverse media material to communicate the results of marine research to the public. I am also participating in various applied marine research projects.

Background

I have over twenty years experience within the Baltic Sea marine research community, starting my career at the Finnish Institue of Marine Research as a trainee and going on to be a scientist dealing with phytoplankton ecology. Since 2011, I'am working as a coordinator at unit of State of the Baltic Sea at SYKE's Marine Research Centre.

Education

I’m a marine biologist by training, having studied at University of Helsinki, Finland. Later on I expanded my expertise to include studies on digital media and communication.
