Cyanobacteria are abundant in the South-Western Finnish open sea areas. Observations of cyanobacterial blooms have increased from last weeks in the coastal areas and in lakes. In lakes, abundant or very abundant cyanobacterial blooms have been observed in 18 observation sites.
