Research integrity

Finnish Environment Institute (Syke) is committed to research integrity and high ethical values as well as to open data and open science. We improve continuously our practices and maintain our expertise up-to-date. Finnish Environment Institute has publication policy and open data policy according to which we produce open information.

Finnish Environment Institute is committed to follow the guidelines of the Finnish National Board on Research Integrity. In EU collaboration, Finnish Environment Institute applies the European code of conduct for research integrity (revised edition)  by the All European Academies.

The director general has the formal responsibility for research integrity in Finnish Environment Institute. The research director is responsible for the quality of Finnish Environment Institute’s research and enhances research integrity. Finnish Environment Institute has two research integrity advicers.
